I want to buy an iPhone but I'm not excited about going with AT&T for the phone service. A few years ago my sister in-law got a cingular phone and returned it 1 week later because she couldn't get signal in her own house. I'm sure the network is improving all the time. I'm going to be living in Sewickley, PA (a suburb of Pittsburgh). Can anyone vouch for the service in this area? If anyone has any information on how the AT&T network may be improving/not improving in general please let me know.

MAlan, you might be more likely to find someone from that area if you posted this question on Apple's iPhone support board.

Thanks, that's a good idea. Unfortunately I have all the information about the AT&T service I need from todays news about Edge network kicking people off plus the iphone firmware update killing peoples wifi connections. Apple's got to make a deal with verizon. I love the iPhone. It is a great design but I'm not buying one until it is on a better service. Maybe the 3G iphone will tempt me next year.

Looks like I'll be going with the blackberry.
