Hi I recently bought a 12" iBook with 512MB ram. I was wondering if somebody could tell me where/how I can get some more ram?

Cheers!

Where did you buy it? You can go to The Apple Store and they'll sell and install it for you.

crucial.com is one online retailer, if you can install it for yourself.

ramseeker.com will let you compare prices from most leading vendors, then order online.

Get it from www.crucial.com
For installation instructions, see the iBook manual, chapter 4.

Crucial is typically not the cheapest, but the RAM is guaranteed and the online resource lets you know exactly what you need.

apple ram def isn't the cheapest, but i'll bet you a dollar it'll work perfectly (and they'll install it for you if you show a little leg. or at least they did for me...)

my previous BTO 800mhz ibook came 128mb onboard with 512mb add-on from the factory, shipped as a 640mb machine. the 512 stick went belly up about 6 months after purchase. so... no it didn't work perfectly that time
