I thought this was just the American name, and has *nothing* to do with where it came from. There are tons of American groceries and food called after origins that have little or nothing to do with reality.

I just had a starbucks blueberry muffin, man those things are good and put to shame the pre-made crap that is being sold at Dunkin-Donuts. I love DD coffee but they're baked goods are anything but fresh.

Hey, when I was living in harlem they were my ONLY source of bagels. To the point that we called them Dunkin Bagels.

(Oh and cinnamon buns are better than both)

I have no idea what those things are. Nearest I can make out, they're Eccles Cakes gone wrong.

English muffins: Classic muffins
