Been trying to find an animated desktop for OSX, ideally something with a wildlife/outdoorsy feel/look, anyone have any suggestions?

MSS is the easiest solution I found. It lets you select your choice of movies, flash animations and use them as your custom screen savers. Then use BackLight 2.0 to activate it, MSS, as your screeen saver/moving desktop. You will need to tinker a bit to get it where you like it but if you've got the CPU power, it's a hell of a lot of neato groovy eyecandy that is completely useless otherwise... I don't think my instructions made any sense at all... PM me if you need more details.

There used to be a mod that did that as well, but it does eat up a ton of processor power.

Thanks for the info, I've only got a MacMini though so not got tons of CPU power to waste.
Flash just eats up CPU cycles on our platform too. Was looking for a prebuilt screensaver that I can use as a desktop. Think this can be done with .quartz files (used by most screen savers) by placing them in the correct location (library) in OSX. So was hoping for an OpenGL based screensaver to try and reduce the CPU load.
