I have to say, the more I play two-player co-op, the more I like it. Last night sek and I decided (partially because vehicles are becoming worthless) to hoof it around Rust Commons West. So we started decimating hordes of Spiderants.
New in my inventory is one of the weirdest weapons in a game. It's a shotgun with 75%+ accuracy and 4x scope. It's basically a sniper. And it does electric damage. One hit and it automatically drops someone's shields. It's pretty wicked.
As for the alien weapons, after having found a second, I'm less than impressed by them. Their 'clips' are too small and their 'bullets' are too slow.

Taking a break to watch the football game, but just some things I've noticed:
- The dogs are annoying at best, they don't serve any real challenge, even on the second play through.
- The vehicle sucks, especially on second play through, it dies way too fast and does next to no damage.
- Pistols (both repeaters & revolvers) suck, the only one I use is a x4 corrosive revolver to kill high armor targets, if I had another weapon with x4 corrosive, I'd replace it in a heartbeat.
- Weapons (good ones) are hard to come by, and likely you'll end up buying your best weapon(s), rather than finding them.
Thoughts?
Oh yeah, rockets FTW in the last area.

Second play-through vehicles are useless except for transport.
I abhor repeaters and revolvers.
All my best weapons were bought, for enormous cost of course.
The skags can be quite a chore to fight, especially now in the second play-through since my major artifact does corrosive damage and a large number of skags are quite immune to that. I'm trying out less powerful, but higher elemental damage weapons since Dakar's weapon compliment is pretty devastating, despite him actually being a lower level than me now.
We both started second characters, and are at about level 12 right now. If you want in (boy8cookie) we can level your fresh character very quickly with our high-30s and all go through the game again at the same skill level, maybe find some more unique weapons this time.

Agreed on all points.
I've cooled considerably on my Siren character (despite an impressive armory), mostly because at level 35, I've become dissatisfied with the options remaining to spend skill points on. I don't use her phasewalk often enough (I don't find it that effective, anyway). I am, however loving the Roland character. I find he has too many skills I want to use.
Edit: Bogues, you had you chance. I do have to say, I've probably played more with sek online in the past two weeks than the rest of the year combined.

Game needs it, too bad it's gonna be 800GP. Maybe I'll be tired of MW2 enough to buy it (ahahahaha, unlikely).

Alright, I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I'd like to join you guys on the second play through, but I hate my Siren character (aside from her awesome weapons). Since I'm enjoying my co-op playt hrough with fatty, I think I'm going to create a second Roland character (if I can) and boost the hell out of him til he's ready to rip through the game.
Fatty, will you still be playing this now that MW2 is out?

Most certainly, I will be buying the DLC and I plan on playing it quite a bit still. Probably not going to get MW2 until this weekend, and even then the game can be so intense and frustrating I'll definitely need another less hectic game to play when I'm not in the mood to get pwned on MW2.
I'll help you boost a Roland right after you help me defeat Sledge with your Siren, that way I can unlock fast travel and gain XP at a rapid pace.
On the second play-through the guns are already way better. I have a x4 Caustic Shotgun, x3 Shock Sniper, and three x3 SMGs (shock, caustic, fire), I've upgraded my blood-wing with x4 shock damage and I have a shield with 800+ hit points. So far the beginning of the second play-through is already more exciting and loot-filled than the end of the first play-through.

It's a deal. I'm more than willing to keep playing Borderlands. So long as no one spoiler bombs the thread, my MW2 single-player progression will be more of a slow but steady affair.

Besides Bad Mutha shock/corrosive/fire skags and the Bad Mutha Brutes I'm quite unstoppable right now. Even beat the guy who holds Sledge's key (Roid Rage Brute?) without any fuss. My compliment of SMGs, coupled with my still (using it since level 26) amazing x4 fire sniper, called Blue Volcano, easily takes care of anything.
I just leveled to 41 last night before bed.

Alright here's my idea, pending your approval: I set-up my new Roland, and tag along as you clear the mine. By the time you get near the end, I drop him, then re-up with 'Zoey' for the big battle.

Started playing this past weekend. Lots of fun, all solo so far.
Sorta split my time so far; lvl 10 Brick and lvl 12 Roland.
(Admittedly - I will be playing MW2 tonight, but plan on playing all the way through Borderlands with each character.)
If anyone wants to add me my xbox tag is my username.

So I'm a little tired of this game. Boosting is a pain in the ass – I think the second playthrough is shorting me on xp. I might be better off just having someone help me fly through the storyline at this point.
Whatever, I smell a break coming up. I'm sure I'll be up for more as Kb and possibly the Boost Brothers pick it up.

I'll be focusing on getting to 50 (probably get it tomorrow as I'm a 44 right now) and that will be my cue to pick up MW2.
I finally got the upgrade for my Bloodwing to attack multiple targets. Right now it's at three targets with a x4 explosive modification, which is turning out to be outrageously overpowering. I just picked up a shield with over 1100 hit points and a pretty awesome shotty* and sniper**
*70x9 damage / 61% accuracy / 10 shot clip / 2.1 fire rate / ludicrously fast reload speed.
**586 damage / 98% accuracy / 6 shot clip / 2.0 fire rate / very fast reload
My sniper, coupled with my class mod and skill upgrades deals almost 1400 damage on critical hit!

Anyone up to play this anymore? Every time I try to play on an open LIVE game, I get maybe one person with a mic, and the rest are silent. Not only that, but they continuously attempt to initiate combat.

I'm down for a revival of Borderlands, in fact there is that Zombie Island DLC pack I've been meaning to buy.
I'm taking a little break from MW2, playing the new STALKER game right now (Call of Pripyat) but I will definitely sign on if you guys are in the Borderlands.

I have the Zombie DLC but haven't tried it yet. I currently have a lv 27 Hunter, lv 34 Brink, and a lv 6 Soldier.
Brick was rushed, so his quests are what a level 7 or so should be.

Let;s put it this way, if I see you on Borderlands I'll sign on. I can't even remember what my characters are at.
Also, did you buy the DLC, or are you talking about classic Borderlands gaming session?

Classic for now. Once I get a really high level character I'll consider some DLC (If you'll remember I was workin' on a Roland character a long time ago. In your absence I've taken him from 16 to 32). Could sue some help polishing off the first playthrough and doing some loot farming (and maybe transferring some weapons from my other char).
