Will using a class 1 (100 m range) version 2 + EDR dongle with a class 2 (10 m range) version 1.1 headset result in the better range characteristics of class 1 for the comms? Or is the range still limited to 10 m by the weakest link (the headset) in the setup?
Has anybody seen any class 1 version 2 BT headsets on the market yet?
The dongles are starting to appear (Planex and Princeton and Toshiba) and Apple has version 2 built into the latest PBs and iMacs so the version 2 headsets must be due for an appearance soon. Pleeease Jabra or Plantronics or Sony Ericcson or somebody, get these out soon!
