what would you guys reccommend? i'm stumped--can't decide between an imac or an ibook--but i'm going w/ a mac for sure now......
god, wish i could buy both.

Depends on which notebook you are considering. In the end, I'd look to the iMac for two reasons:
1. Memory (base 64K)
2. Screen (CRT vs. LCD)

and perhaps a third.... price

Hey don't forget the built-in microphone in the iMac. That would sure swing it for me!

Ummm... How about the fact that you can get a DVD drive in an iMac as opposed to a CD drive in an iBook?

and faster processor, MUCH better video card, more periphial options (2 usb ports, firewire) . . . much better computer unless you have a specific need for the portability
