Does anybody have any recommendations for small firewire hubs for Ti's?

In advance, I realize that it's possible to chain devices together. Still, I'd rather have a single point where I can keep external drives, and cables for connecting ipod and a camcorder plugged in all the time, avoiding the cable shuffle.

I lost my built in firewire (Ti 400) , guess I'll look for one that is a powered hub.. the pcmcia card does not supply power to the devices.

This one looks pretty small. I've never seen it in person, but if you only need two ports, it looks like it'll fit the bill.

Yeah, that'll work. PCMCIA FireWire cards do not supply power to devices for a good reason. Imagine how long your batteries would last if you had to power two hard drives (one internal, another in an external FireWire enclosure) and a digital SLR camera!

It wouldn't be pretty.

'Tis true. I'm looking for one for home use to manage the cable nightmare that has become my life.

I bought some generic 6-port hub at compgeeks for about $25. It works fine with my PC and laptop, but I don't see it advertised there anymore.
