The game thats like Ludo but where you go round in a circle rather than round in a plus shape as shown below, and it also has a dice in a plastic dome in the middle that you press down and "pop" to roll a new number?

I'm troubled by the realization that I don't know.

I have no idea what you're talking about, but googling "dice game plastic dome" and five minutes of sleuthing came up with this:

Yeah, that's what I was going to say, but the plastic dome part tells me it's Trouble or Headache.

I was going to say Parcheesi, but my nemesis beat me to it.

But I think the game in question is Trouble.

Unlikely - the game has been around since at least 1965 (the version I posted above). That bubble thing will have been patented to hell.

FWIW, newer version:

Odd coincidence. I saw this game for the first time last week, and the instant I read the description I knew what you were talking about.

It was the old vintage version too.

It's called "Ludo." Interestingly enough, I know this because I went to the web site shown on the board itself... The site says that this is the "children's version" of "pachisi" which the English swiped from the Indians and renamed "parchisi", thus the similarity to a parchisi board.

And those patents will have been long expired by now, if they were from way back in 1965.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Glenn, I think you need to re-read the OP more carefully.

Copyright still applies, though, and since it appears that the design is still in use, would probably be enforceable.
