(D) Platform does not mention of G*d or Jerusalem, then does after "2/3" of delegates approve amending the platform .

I don't know which of these will make a better ad, Durbin, Schumer, or Aligator Barbie™ or the the boos from the convention floor after the amendments were said to have passed with a 2/3 vote.

Villaraigosa called for the voice vote multiple times, each one sounded 50/50, yet passed with a 2/3 vote? Sounds like damage control to me.
The amendments appear to be the wording from the 2008 platform

Then why did the (D) platform need amending, and why say it passed when it is obvious it did not?

I heard it said that you cannot become POTUS without harping on about god at least a bit. It not have been worded quite like that.

I wonder why the racists at C-SPAN chose to focus on this man and his wife?
They look more upset over the change to page 63 line 26 than to the change to page 32 line 38.

No mention of Easter Bunnies and unicorns on the DNC platform? I'm upset.

Bush Tax Cuts == Job Killer
June 2001: 132,047,000 employed
June 2003: 129,839,000 employed
2.21 million jobs were LOST after 2 years of Bush Tax Cuts.

Nor tea pots or flying spaghetti monsters.
Call Obama. He called and had it put back in, despite the fact it did not pass with the required 2/3 vote.
Just in case Big O doesn't come through...
BTW, Big O signed off on the platform before it was adopted.

Seems an odd time to make such a controversial change. The support of Israel is an international issue and one the party should be united on.
God however, I don't think cares if he's mentioned by politicians of either party. Yet they both trot him out as a celebrity endorsement.
Chongo, where did you read that Obama approved the change? Here I find that it says Obama asked why the change:
"An Obama campaign official said President Obama personally requested that "God" be put back into the platform. "Why did they change that?" Obama said, according to the official, when he heard the word had been removed. "

Dear Americans: like voting machines, voting by way of thousands of people screaming out loud is a phenomenally stupid way to make collective decisions.

The only clip from FNC was the Dick Durbin interview before the The vote on the amendments. The clip of the vote I posted is the same clip from C-Span. If you listen, there was not 2/3 voting in the affirmative, so the measure did not pass.
Those pesky teleprompters.

Perhaps the camera was focused on them because they were holding up a sign that proclaimed they were Arab Americans, nothing more.

What is your point? Skin color is important to you? Perhaps she looks too attractive to fit your stereotype of Arab women?

Again, what possible relevance was there for your original comment about her ethnicity when clearly she is holding a sign proclaiming her Arab American affiliation?

I apologize for confronting a long time poster for such a serious accusation but you need to to go back and read what you posted. It is flat out undeniably racist in every sense of the word.

You don't have to apologize for confronting me, that's the point.
What I'm asking for though is something a little more to latch onto than "it's racist". I can just say "it's not", which I can say because it wasn't. It certainly wasn't intended that way.
Tell me why it's racist and I'll either cop to making a mistake or clarify how I didn't.

If you can't even explain why they were racist, how do you expect me to know just by reading them?

I don't believe I've won the debate, I believe it has yet to occur despite me practically begging you to have it.
From my perspective, I'm not sure how things could get worse than an accusation of making racist statements. Considering the respect I've given that accusation so far, I'm not sure where you'd get the idea things won't end well because of me.

I think most people would say no.
I would say no if Louis C.K. (who's Mexican) hadn't mentioned two points.
1) Unlike in America, the Europeans in Mexico didn't kill all the indigenous brown people.
2) Because of number 1, white Mexicans don't come to America all that often since they have plenty of people they can oppress at home.

Anyone of part tribal descent could also look just as irish as you or me. Not everyone looks like all their ethnicities. I think that's impossible.

I think you start to get down to how you define ethnicity. People who deviate from what we think of as the norm for a particular ethnicity likely have other ethnicities mixed in.
Edit: I also didn't catch the "part" in my first read through.

Not all Native peoples are "dying off" The Navajo, Apache, Tohono O'odham(AKA Papago), Pima, Yaqui, Maricopa, Hualapai (Grand Canyon Sky Walk), Havsuwʼ Baaja (Havasupai) are just a few of the Native people Just in AZ. (They aren't mixed either) Almost all of them are operating casinos.
