No way. There's simply no comparison.
I did a search:
Wow hits: 65 in the titles alone.
Doom3 hits: 35.
There are close to DOUBLE the number of WoW threads. Seriously. Find a WoW forum, post all your "Do I get +5 to paladins when I use hte sword of Enlandia against the sceptor of dragon tower?!" questions somewhere else.

Maybe because WoW is twice as good as Doom3, and likely the most popular and most advanced game of it's type to ever be released?

Yes, Doom 3 was an important title. Hypet up like hell. My guess is that 34 of the mentioned hits was more or less from before it got released and the 35th just stated something about performance (like it sucks and some quotes from Glenda or whatever), and after that no one was interested anymore.
WOW is *big* - and this is a gamer forum (so like doh get over it already).

I don't see why it's that big of a deal to you powertrippin. I get worked up about things too, but I don't go on whining about them for weeks at a time posting everything that comes into my head. You COULD not click on the games forum. This is meant for the people that enjoy games not kids who have nothing better to do than harrass other ppl. It's been said before... but i'll say it again. You've stated how pathetic you think all the ppl in the games forum are. That's fine, you're entitled to your own opinion no matter how dumb it is, but the fact that you're harassing them shows how much more pathetic you are. Also, there's a reason why there are so many WoW topics posted. It's one of the most popular games out at the moment... now quit being such a immature prick about this. Grow up and deal with it.

No, I stated how pathetic "+5 to ogres with my level 28 paladin from the shadows of endor" players are. I like a lot of games, but I have to say this fantasy warcraft **** is plain obnoxious and pathetic.

Well +5 to new brake pads, +10 to suspension, with a minor enchant on the muffler is pretty ****!ing pathetic, too.

I don't really see how. People who are into cars are usually pretty social people with a lot of interests. People into warcraft and RPGs......uh, no.

Let's say that for argument's sake that we are introverts. That we aren't very social. That we are dorks and don't get laid. Why would you care? Is it your perogative to make us feel even worse? Is it solely up to you to point out what you see wrong in everyone? Therapists/Psychologists/etc would all conclude that you are insecure and have confidence issues and you feel the need to take it out on others in a feeble attempt to "feel" better about yourself. Give it up kid or if you are in fact an adult... I truly feel sorry for you.

I guess my reason is that:
1. I think warcraft sucks
2. I think the people into warcraft and RPGs have issues.
3. This forum is FLOODED with WoW threads, and this is a GENERAL mac gaming forum, not a WOW forum. I like reading about a variety of things, not just one annoying game.
PMDaly, I do give you props for your points. Maybe I am insecure and I'd secretly like to be a flying ogre with +8 to food finding abilities.

Unfortunately this is a forum for all registered users, not just you. Since a lot of people that post here play WoW, a lot of posts are about WoW. This is because there is a lot of interest in WoW.
If you don't like the game, no one is forcing you to play or read about it here. Insulting someone about a game that they play, especially calling them a nerd for playing a game and posting about it in the gaming forum that you are posting in, is pretty immature.
I'm sorry you don't like WoW, but you really don't need to clog up our gaming forum with a whining post when it could be used to post about gaming.

What's far more pathetic is your obsessed trolling on an internet forum ranting about a video game. <- at you, not with you. For every minute you've spent posting about this you get -30 life, surprising since you already need to be a level 54 loser class troll to even get started on it.
Just remember how many days you've spent ranting about this online before you start calling other people losers.

I'm into cars, go out with friends a LOT, married, have kids, etc. and I play RPGs. Looks like you're wrong.

There are exceptions to every stereotype, but stereotypes exist for a reason.
And yes, I'm done Blizzard, though I think we could use some 'conglomerating' of all the WOW topics.

I agree with you, they could use some cleaning up, and posting this thread was helpful, so thank you. Next time, try to be a little less abrasive in your reasoning, though. People will react a lot better.

Like I said, considering you spent your saturday night on an internet forum searching for posts about a MMORPG you don't like in order to create this thread complaining about and ironically attacking people as lacking social lives, you really should be conservative with the use of words like 'dorkdom.'

See, my vast intellect allowed me to do such a task in mere minutes, maybe 3 minutes tops? And it was done in the morning, at about 9am. I don't know what's up with the time stamp. Saturday night I was at a party.

It would help if you put the TOPICS in there. What good are the links? They don't help me in a search.

Well it doesn't much help me to have this many WOW threads covering the same damn subjects again and again either. Click through them, and I promise whatever question you had will be answered.

Well this forum isn't all about you, these threads help me and a majority of other WoW players. You want a forum all to yourself, go make one and then you can make all the rules.
