My superdrive does not work, and Apple will not give me Apple Care, because they say I am two days past my one year. This is wrong, I should have eleven days left, but I don't know if I can get a copy of my invoice. If Apple Care is not an option should I put this drive in it? http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...129-135&DEPA=1
Will it work with iDVD? Are there any other drives I should look at? Will buying OEm be a problem?

What machine is your superdrive in? That would help better figure out a solution for you. I think the Update for the superdrive should work.

This may be a bit of a premature response, but, I have a Pioneer DVR-105, and it works without a hitch.

Granted, I don't have iDVD, but all of Apple's built in utilities work flawlessly.

I think all Pioneer drives are covered under Apple's built in software.

Both the 105 and 106 Pioneer drives will show up as 100% supported Superdrives in a Mac, I've used both in 2 different machines. The 106 is newer and supports + and - formats.

It is an eMac. Is there a problem with buying OEM?

You can check your Apple Care on Apple's website I believe.
