I love Christmas music and "The Christmas Shoes" is by far the best, most inspirational song I have ever heard.

My sisters loved this one.

This one is an old favorite of mine, though we used slightly different lyqrics at my elementary school. As shown below:
Little toy trains, little toy tracks,
Little toy drums coming from a sack,
Carried by a man dressed in white and red,
Little boy don't you think it's time you were in bed?

Close your eyes,
Listen to the skies,
All is calm,
All is well,
Soon you'll hear Kris Kringle and his jingle bells bringing...

Yeah, kind of repetitious, but easy for a kid in gradeschool to remember, and very soothing.

You have brought upon your head, a test:

Which line has the correct punctuation:

God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen

Yep. I thought it was the first, originally, because the second just didn't make sense to me. I found out a couple years ago that, "God rest ye merry," is just really old english.

I Believe In Father Christmas - Greg Lake/Emerson , Lake & Palmer (many people really hate these guys, but this song is a real modern xmas classic)
Father Christmas - the Kinks (for my more cynical side)

My favorite non-traditional Christmas song would probably be "Happy Christmas" by John Lennon. Favorite traditional song is either "Little Drummer Boy" or "Carol of the Bells."

I really liked the Gap commercial with Veruca Salt singing "Let it Snow." Did they ever do a full version of that song?

Does Greensleeves count? If not I'll take Carol of the bells and Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon.

I like the traditional carols best. My favourite is Stilla Natt, Silent Night in English._

To pronounce:
is pronounced as 'a' in 'mad'
is pronounced as 'i' in 'bird
is pronounced as 'au' in 'laundry'

Stilla Natt

Stilla natt, heliga natt,
allt r frid, stjrnan blid
skiner p barnet i stallets str,
och de vakande fromma tv.
Kristus till jorden r kommen,
oss r en frlsare fdd.

Stora stund, heliga stund,
nglars hr gr sin rund
kring de vaktande herdarnas hjord.
Rymden ljuder av gldjens ord:
Kristus till jorden r kommen,
eder r frlsaren fdd.

Stilla natt, heliga natt,
mrkret flyr, dagen gryr.
Rddningstimmen fr vrlden slr,
nu begynner vrt ljubelr.
Kristus till jorden r kommen,
oss r en frlsare fdd.

Face: Crosby for Christmas rules. But I just couldn't feel Christmassy with the temperatures in Oz that time of year.

"Oh Holy Night" - but only if sung by someone who is a really good singer.

Otherwise, Carol of the Bells.

2000 Miles - The Pretenders

But I like em all really, except that John Lennon song. I love Christmas! but not John Lennon.

I've been looking for a Christmas song for years, I don't know anything about it, or even if it is a 'christmas song' at all... Its a classical piece of music, it always seems to be associated with christmas, it's very... Joyful. Anyone have any idea? Thanks!

The Raveonettes-The Christmas Song.

Also "Merry Xmas Everyone" covered by Noel Gallagher is amazing.
