mutelight, you'd better change your sig to fit the rules. 200 pixels across, 50 pixels high MAX.

Nice setup, by the way.

Figure I'll add mine to the mix. 2.66 Mac Pro + 2 23"s + 8GB RAM.

Since there's no actual view of the Mac Pro, here are the guts.

And for when Comcast goes down (usually on the MacBook Pro.

A lot of people have those, they are great because you don't have to move your wrist, reducing a lot of crap.

how do you like those speakers? I was actually thinking about getting them for my girlfriend. She uses her computer mostly for playing music and i was thinking about getting her a decent pair of speakers for a reasonable price. The Z4's seem to be right around the price range im looking at.

I've got them, they get very loud, sound good, and have better bass then you'd expect, cheap too. I love them.

You people have some of the most amazing computer setups I could ever imagine. I usually stick to the Powerbook thread but somehow ended up here. I feel like I should stick my tail between my legs and walk away slowly.

Forget the mac, I love your TV setup. I remember browsing Georgia Home Theater and seeing those speakers or speakers just like it in the completely decked out sound room! What brand are those and what is the rest of your home theater setup? I can't quite make them out from the small picture.

EricTheRed, I have the same set of Logitech speaker. Interestingly, I put my PowerMac G4 on the desk instead of the subwoofer.

I got it at Sam's Club a few years ago. I occasionally dial the base up and down so I keep it on my desk.

Definately.

Seriously though, the subwoofer'd work better on the floor, in the middle.

Awesome setup man! I am glad you are liking the ASP8s they are incredibly accurate and flat for their price point. Every time I sit down and work on them or listen to music they put a smile on my face.

I trade securities. I have a several XP applications open that allow me to trade options and securities instantly as well a Java-based streaming software for keeping tabs on the market in real-time and for candlestick charting (I'm a chart guy) as well as research on the web using a browser that has way, way, way too many tabs open.

Stocks don't require much HDD space but I got into making movies too. I'm not an expert and neither am I talented but I think it is fun. Here is an example I made playing around at my local practice track.

Small version of the same movie.

Sorry to bust the Mac Pro party, but I just got my first modern professional Mac. Power Mac G4 533 MHz, 640 Mb of RAM. Great machine, still very speedy. Sorry for the crappy camera phone pics, my normal camera is broken.
