I dunno, the porpotions just don't seem right. I look at my screen, and I imagine 7 more inches, and the thing would be huge! In relation to the other stuff on my desk, and my keyboard, it would be fricking enormous, but it doesn't look that big in the pictures. But, I know it's just in the pictures.. I used a 30" ACD in an apple store, and it was giant indeed! I think it would be too big for me. I'm just barely getting used to 23" now.

It gets small fast. I've had a 30" for close to 2 years, and I've gotten quite used to it. Anything smaller feels claustrophobic.

What does a 1080p HD video look like playing full screen on a 30" ACD? Does it get blurry at all? or is it as crisp as on a 23"?

Its good but it is stretched on a 2560 x 1600 display so detail is not 110% perfect.

The Dells look so much better than the old ones. If I upgrade to a C2D BlackBook, I will definitely get the 20".........or maybe 24"? *hopehopehope* naaaah, not on my budget.

I know what you're saying, but frankly, that day, I'd have paid someone myself! The install of the Raptor as a boot, then migration of crap from my Dual G5 took the better part of a day, and the fun wore off fast!

I'm guessing it's probably what I did. Kept the 1.5 release of Firefox since it was stable while test running the 2.0 betas and RC releases.

Good idea, too bad I didn't do it for iTunes..
I miss the days of the G5 and XPS Pentium 4 running side by side as high-end machines.

Ok...I posted a similar picture last page but I rearranged things a bit (2nd screen is actually new from the last pic - that one died and was replaced) and also have a "daylight" shot. Hopefully postng another, dark pic - similar to last - is not gratuitous.

More pics of the Mac Pro in my gallery, here.

More pics of the dual (blue) status LCDs in my gallery, here.

To this:

And this:
::Image Lost::

I've actually had this for about a month, just recently got time to post pics of it. My dad got a Mac Pro so he let me buy this off of him, its great, came with Adobe creative suite 2 Premium, iWork '06, iLife '05, Office 2004, Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver, Free hand, Aperture, Photoshop Elements, The sims 2 (he liked to play it)!

Forgot to post my DSlite, as much as I do love it. Couldn't get any shots of my new 20" Dell, because it hasn't come yet. Otherwise, I think my setup is perfect for me.

Hey kick 52, why don't you use screen recycler for your iMac so you can use it's bigger-than-that-little-monitor-you-are-using-for-the-g4 you are using now?

do you mean use a converter to direct the VGA signal to the iMacs monitor?

nah, i have a converter, but it wouldnt be that great.. i'd prefer a bigger resolution.. and there isnt enough room in front of the imac for a keyboard

Nice setup, but what's the story with those clocks? I could understand having them if they were set correctly, but it doesn't look like they are!

Hi kick52, you have very good eyes, the photo seems fine but no PowerMac/Macpro. I would say that, that next desktop computer for me will be MacPro, and I'm work hard on it now. Thank you.

No... I will purchase a Wacom Cintiq 21UX though. I'm trying to go more for a computer System appeal... rather than just the computer itself. Looking into getting a RAID array too.
