With the standings going into the weekend: The Braves will take at least two of the three games in the series and the Astros are going to walk all over Colorado. Leaving SF to split with the Dodgers... giving the wild card to Houston.
How many teams can blow a game with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning and lose the series to a team 30 games out of first place? Only to really put them up against the wall for any hopes of a post season?

The Cubs are their own undoing every year. Why do they even bother trying.

Why? Because Dusty Baker doesn't know when to say no to LaTroy Hawkins...

The Cubs suck to balance the universe. If they were to easily make the playoffs or worse win it all and become World Series Champs; then the very fabric of time and space would unravel and we and all we know would come to a sudden end.

Don't you mean Letoya?

What a girl... throw a BALL with an 0-2 count you knuckle head, not a strike down the middle!

The Cubs just coughed up another one in extra innings...

Too bad, Prior pitched one helluva game (16 K's)!

There's too much beer and not enough water in that cup for a Wrigley Beer.

Bottom of the 9th Cubs down 8-6 to the Braves (fricking Braves ) and they will be completely out of the post season if they finish losing this game. I'd hold out hope for 'em but it complete unlike the Cubs to be able to come back.

Well the Cubs have completed their failure for the year. Maybe next year...

Or next decade.

No one can be told why the Cubs suck... only shown.

I mean, seriously, anyone who has seen a game live knows the answer to this question.

Better yet, where are the pieces of Wrigley floating in that cup?
