I'd describe London as "one of the largest cities on earth", not "smallish", and 99% of the town as "eaten", not "sick".

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

I don't believe it was only London infected in 28 Days Later.

Interesting the difference between the UK version:
When the US Soldier pushes the stalled car out of the gas, he gets lit on fire by flamethrower troops, and you see him burn to death. Seriously gory.
US Version:
From what I can gather the gas kills him, the soldier pushes the car, winks and collapses. Cheesy
Huh? I saw it here in the U.S. and it has the same scene as the UK version.

Silly Zombies, when will they learn. Brain are for kids.
I can't wait for 'World War Z' to become a movie. The book was fantastic.
Then again, the King book 'Cell' is being made into a movie as well (what books or short stories of his HAVN'T been made into films?!?!) which would be an interesting Zombie film. (Ok, so they're not really zombies in 'Cell' but everyone I read online calls it a zombie book.)

Same here. I saw the movie yesterday and it had the "UK" version of that scene. Peter, what made you think otherwise?

Just saw it this weekend.
The opening scene was friggin awesome, and the helicopter scene.
Thought it could have been better acted by some, and I must say Begby from Trainspotting made a great Zombie (though I don't like his whole deal, you know what I mean).
I give it a 7/10, which is pretty good for any horror movie.
28 Days is still better.

Well, I haven't seen it but I hear it's hard to tell who the bad guys are, The Zombies or the Merikans.
Should make a poll.

Saw it last night. Great little pic. Some parts were rather absurd, but I was easily able to ignore them unlike my experience in spidey 3.

I could definitely feel the whole "overbearing US army" thing, however we were the ones (in the movie) who made it possible to reclaim the UK in the first place. Meh, whatever, it wasn't to apparent.
How retarded is bringing possibly infected persons (Begby's wife) into the very heart of the 'green zone'? I mean come on, they would have tested her for Rage outside of the fu*kin safe zone. Also, a main lesson seems to be "don't trust maintenance personnel with access to a quarantined room."

The main lesson...
Don't have stupid ass kids. If they had of kept their butts in the city in the first place, and not gone in the zone...

Or, a better lesson might be
When you leave your wife to die, make sure she dies.

It's technically not a zombie film because they aren't dead.

Actually if you want to get "Technical" about it, it is a Zombie film...
There is more than one definition of Zombie besides reanimated corpse or living dead.
A zombie is also an automaton reacting in a mechanical way. It is also a soul-less creature.
Now, you would be right to say that they are not the reanimated corpses we are most used to in "Zombie" films but once infected with the rage virus the victims definitely become soulless automatons. Both kinds of Zombies have been portrayed in films and books. These just don't happen to be the more common and popular "Living-Dead!"

Same scene, yup.
I thought it was very well done, movie-wise, but the PLOT was stupid. Major spoilers in that, but too many suspensions of disbelief to get over to enjoy the rest of the movie for us. Can't wait for the next one.

Agreed, it was well done. Also agreed that the plot wasn't what it could be. My biggest gripe: The depth of the characters in 28 Weeks don't come close to that of the characters in the first movie. I found myself invested in the characters in 28 Days Later, whether I liked them, or wanted them dead. Not so much this time around.

Technically zombies are the walking dead. In 28 Days and Weeks Later movies they are not the walking dead, they are living people who are infected with the Rage virus.
The girl who plays the daughter in this movie is gonna be 50X bigger than Keira. Mark my words!

Ya ya. What I said is there are no walking dead in 28 Days movies. It's a different spin on zombies. These virus infected living people don't need to get attacked in the head like the walking dead zombies to kill them. They can get killed like any living person with a shot to the body.
They be angry people. Very angry people like this ----->

Well, I just saw 28 Weeks Later, and then went home and downloaded 28 Days Later hoping it'd be as good... unfortunately not. I actually wasn't very fond of 28 Days Later at all. It was slow, and relatively uneventful.
28 Weeks was much more entertaining.
On another note, it bothers me that the storyline is a blatant ripoff of Resident Evil.
