Except he has hung the packers out to dry the past few years because of his inability to make a decisive decision. Even after his "retirement" The packer staff approached him a number of times to see if he wanted to come back. They had to move on, and I don't blame them for being tired of this prima donna attitude.
I enjoyed watching him play but its turned into a soap opera now.

It's only a soap opera if you tune in to watch. As it is every single season, in every single sport, we do not know what the team roster is going to be until the season actually starts. Until then it's pretty much up in the air and Favre is Green Bay's problem.
Let's just see what happens and enjoy the ride
That's my plan anyway.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

The Jets? I guess this means Chad goes away now, huh?

The Patriots must be concerned. They had free reign over their conference for years. Now with all of the moves the jets made during the off season, including trade for Favre means they're a playoff contender

Let's not get too hasty here, this is the Jets we're talking about. The Bills and Dolphins should be concerned, because the two games they play with the Jets are no longer automatic wins. But I think the Patriots know how to dismantle a Favre-led offense, particularly one with wide receivers he's not all that familiar with, yet.

Don't worry, he'll throw enough balls to the other team that you'll hardly even notice that Chad left.

With the Jets in the same division as Brady and the Pats I'll take an interesting team with Brett Favre over a boringly efficient team with Penington/Clemens.

While he did have a good year last year. He'll be in a fairly new system and he's a year older and who knows if he has kept himself in shape. What happens when things go south, will he suddenly retire?

Obviously this didn't happen, just wanted to point out, as a Bears fan, that their weaknesses go far beyond QB. Last year they had no O-line, no running game, and the most dropped passes in the league. It's not looking that much better this year, even with the buzz about Matt Forte.
Favre may have made a little difference, but I doubt it would be 'Super Bowl' difference. More likely he would have been just as inconsistent as Grossman. Give Grossman the protection and running game that GB had last year, and I'd bet he'd be at least as consistent as Favre (noting that for all the great things he does, Favre is not one of the most consistent QBs...definitely not in Manning/Brady territory...).
It seems like the Jets have some of those pieces, so it would be cool to see him go in and help them.

If the Jets go 8-8, it'll be an improvement. Don't see them making a serious run at the playoffs despite their off-season acquisitions.

In the first 24 hours after Favre's trade to the Jets was announced, more than 6,500 Favre jerseys were ordered on NFL.com. According to an NFL spokesman, this isn't just an unprecedented level of sales for a single player -- it breaks the single-day sales mark for all of NFL.com.
