Oh LORD!

I tend to expand my asshole-ness when I drink, so I have learned to KEEP AWAY from my computer, unless its on fire or something, and away from my turntable. I wasn't even drunk but last Sunday, while vacuuming I wacked the leg of the table holding my turntable (tonearm NOT locked in place) and destroyed a $400.00 OCL Replacement stylus for my vintage Grace F9e Super that was only 8 months old. I only have a very old Stanton 681ee if I want to listen to any of my 6000 LP's.

Perhaps IT IS time to start drinking........

I'm generally a fun drunk, but catch me on a bad day and they'll be hell to pay. So I don't drink much anymore, maybe one or two.

I found out last weekend that a) drinking in the morning, on an empty stomach, can lead to significant impairment of social filters and b) a certain mild-seeming alcoholic beverage turns out to be 12% alcohol...

So, I was at the Texas Renaissance Festival (so that's why I was drinking before noon), and their "house brand" mead is 12% alcohol. It is yummy, smooth, and light. It also kicks you in the kiester shortly after you finish a 4 ounce serving of it...

It also turns out that I am a silly drunk. But at a festival that can be described as "swords and cleavage with music and booze," it's probably hard not to be silly.

lost my taste for being drunk after being holed in for 3 days at a Miami Beach hotel during a hurricane.
plenty of booze and food but nowhere to go and lots of time drank about 2 bottles of wine a day largely by myself, and I'm not a drinker.
it was a scene, man.
