Getting back on track:

Duke screwed that up royally although now VCU will make seeing who advances to the third round interesting.
And the points yahoo posted today reflect very little. The standings come Sunday night will be more telling than what you see now. I seriously doubt U of I will make it past the second round.

Duke sux. Their current team is really inept.

...and it is gonna take a little while for them to get any better. I predict a downturn for that program in the next few years.

I had VCU over Duke, but missed two of the other games.

I'm with ya.

Looks like Texas A&M Corpus Christi is off to a great start against Wisconsin. 25-9 so far, with 4:15 left in the first half! Winthrop is spanking ND too.

I love March Madness.

All the Big 10 teams have won their first round games, let's hope U of I doesn't screw that trend up.

PS: The sox are beating the cubs 5-3 in AZ

It just shows how stupid they are - they don't make good decisions with the basketball.

yeah -- some of the blame has to go to coach weber. he insisted on milking clock instead of having the big men drive to the basket when we did break the full court press..

8:08:44 PM agasthya: ugh we're going to lose this game

(we were up by 9 when I sent that)

Your final four is such that if it happens, you'll dominate. If not, you'll get crushed. UT and Oregon are longshot picks.

One of these years, I'll get the guts to make bold picks. I don't pick straight on the seeds, but I'm pretty conservative. I have a six year streak of coming in 2nd in the family pool (12 or so people). I never win, never lose. I'm always 2nd.

Horrible charging call on Marland in that last possession.

Almost had it? The did have it and they threw it away. IL clearly shouldn't have been in the tournament this year. This is what they get for banning the Chief its the new Curseâ„¢.

The seeds in the sweet sixteen look so pedestrian... nothing higher than a 7 (UNLV) got through.

If we're lucky, it will lead to some really good games, although I'm betting Kansas beats the tar out of Southern Illinois.

Ohio State had me worried for most of that game.

And I almost wish Southern had won. I was impressed with how that game went.

Yes, I am very satisfied by this weekend's games as well.

Ohio State pulls off a win and I am coming in 2nd or 3rd in one of the real pools i joined which in turn will become a free iTV for me and one for my sister plus a nice dinner.

Wow, I'm in 5th with my worst bracket - that's terrible. Maybe I shouldn't have put in my bracket with Illinois winning the whole thing
