The company I just joined apparently still relies on the "lay it on top of the printer somewhere or maybe next to the fridge" system for dealing with people's printouts. That is, when you come to the printer and find someone else's printjob at the output shelf, you're expected to just kinda leave it there, or maybe set it down on any random flat surface.

Other places I've worked have had these great metal stands, kind of like a magazine rack but tall and with many many slots. So when you find someone else's document, you just drop it into a slot. This is great because (a) they can find it (b) various printjobs don't get all mashed together, and (c) nothing slides off into the netherworld.

So what are these things? Looking at magazine racks, searching for "document holder" or "document rack" or "print rack" didn't seem to yield what I'm after. Why is my google-fu failing me?

EDIT: This thing ("literature rack" at Amazon) looks pretty close, actually:

I thought it was a suppository. But on second guess I'd call it a document holder.

No wonder you have such a high henchman turnover rate.

Edit: BTW, apologies, it looks like I'm going to dominate this thread

That would make a great bumper sticker.

Too bad it wouldn't fit on your big wheels.
