I agree with the author that it could definitely be "unpleasant" to have one's "event" announced over the PA s system. On the other hand, older people who need such protective garments tend to have not-so-healthy skin and sitting in either #1 or #2 is not good for the skin. Better to have someone come and help you change than to sit in waste and get a sore (and eventually an infection) from it. This is actually a very interesting and useful product-in the intended setting, of course.
