So I built a Mac Pro 5.1 up, and did two NVME drives (boot drive, and scratch disk). Rest of the system has hard disks for longer term storage (slow tho).

Anyway, my scratch disk was 256 gigs. It shows I have used 190 gigs. But it shows I have 1.9 gigs available.

Something is weird. It wasn't like this when I built this machine..... tried disk utility repairs, nope. Tried some windirstat type visualization thing, literally the ONLY thing on the disk is an iMovie library....

Help?

Run OmniDiskSweeper on the drive. Do it from the root user account, or it may not see everything.

It will build a true usage catalog tree, sorted by size. Including all hidden folders & files. Lets you trace your missing 66 GB of space.
