I just got this a drive ( http://www.ximeta.com/products/netwo...disk/index.php ) for backing up my OS and It requires this ( 100Base-T full duplex switch for NDAS mode ? ) and I am not sure what it is? Can I just use my existing router? Is it it just a work hub? Thanks, Tom

Networking questions belong in the Networking forum. That's where this is going.

If your router has more than 2 ports, it's probably a switch. You should be able to plug the NAS box in and go.

I accessed my router and can not find any thing that says Duplex half or full. I do not have manuals or I would look at that. How do I know if my router is Duplex half or full? And where can that be switched if that is swithable?

It's unlikely a router that handles 100BaseT ethernet is not full duplex. Routers are much more sophisticated than simple hubs; they actually consist of one part that interconnects your Internet connection to your LAN, and another part that's a switch-and there are darn few half-duplex switches of any speed. What's the make and model of your router?
Edit: I had misread the original post's "100Base-T" to be "1000Base-T." Oops. So I fixed the above...

S'ok. The server did it, not you. And I deleted the duplicates for you. Glenn
