Help!

Im havingn an issue with quark 6. I sometime can not save a file. Quark returns a -47 or a -51 error. The only way around this is to cut and paste the whole doc in to a new doc. Anyone seen this before? Is it a quark bug that will be fixed in 6.1? Anyone know when 6.1 will be out?

Thanks

does it happen when you are trying to save as an older version, or any version?

It won't save over the current file as an older version, you have to change the name. I ad an _q5 to the end of my file name when doing it.

Hope this helps.

QX 6.1 is supposed to be out *soon* according to their web site. However, they said the same thing about QX for OSX about three years ago...

Well it depends if they are using the usual definition of 'soon' or the Steve Jobs version of 'soon' (actually spelled 'zn')

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

In a German Mac magazine last year, they even said October, but they've been telling most people December.

What month is it again?

I had a similar problem, and traced it back to a corrupted setting for the auto-backups. The location got messed up, and the error messages were not helpful. Resetting the location solved the problem.

Didn't Quark relocate all their software develoment to India? I think that may have been a bad call.
