I have intermittent problems where my Al Powerbook 15" does not automatically recognize my Apple wireless mouse. Usually what is required is to go into Bluetooth prefs, delete the item <username> mouse, and then set it up again.

I know this can be caused by low batteries but that's not always the problem. I noticed the switch marked "+/-" inside the bottom of the mouse. What does this do? What's the appropriate setting?

Thanks for your help.

It adjusts the click tension.

Sorry I can't be more helpful. I have a mess of them and have never experienced the problem you describe.
