I'm doing my (first ever) Power Point presentation (yes I know it would be better to use keynote but this is what I have). The presentation is set, I'm going to run it from my 15" Al Powerbook to a projector of some sort (supplied by the hotel). Question: can I get my voice to play over the speakers in the Powerbook?

My setup is: Griffin Microphone to iMic to Mac USB port (it's the old iMic). The microphone seems to work ok, that is it shows response on the levels in the sound prefs, but no sound comes out the speakers.

Any help appreciated, I'm not really an AV guy so I feel at a loss here.

I don't think the built in speakers can come close to your natural volume. Most audio recording apps have a passthrough option so that you can monitor as you record.
