MacRumors is reporting that a company in the far east has been contracted to manufacture G5 iBooks in the 2nd Quarter of 2005." In addition, Asustek will also start shipping iBook G5 notebooks to Apple in the second quarter of this year. Shipments of the current iBook notebooks totaled about 110,000-120,000 units a month in the fourth quarter last year, the sources noted." It seems unlikely that Apple would make a G5 iBook without a powerbook version so could this be a first warning?
