I have a Sawtooth G4 with a stock AGP ATI RAGE 128 Pro with 16Mb VRAM, obviously it's not enough for any game with serious graphics. Anyways, what are my options. I don't want to spend more than $150, closer to $100 the better.

On your budget, yeah, that's a good bet. Another option would be the Radeon 8500 Mac Edition, about $75 on ebay; the same performance and it has HDB15 and TV-out ports instead of the ADC port.

the radeon 9000 is obviously a better card than what you have now, but I don't know if you will be happy with it. It's shader performance is very lacking and will not perform nearly as well as say a Geforce4 ti or Radeon 9800.

I bought a radeon 8500 (PC version, flashed for mac), and the radeon 8500 was great. I used it with Warcraft III, and there was some slowdowns on busy scenes, but I think that was due to processor (stuck at 500Mhz - planning an upgrade)- I'll second the 8500 - nice card.
