I recently upgraded my Early 2009 Quad Core mac, I got 2 4 gig sticks of ram, and upgraded from 10.58 to 10.6.3, as well as upgrading my Photoshop. Now i am having problems opening files, clicking on files can sometimes be delayed by up to 5 secs. The entire system seems much slower. what can I do?

Has Spotlight indexed your hard disk yet?, it might be running in the background slowing down things.

Since dealing with RAM in a Mac Pro is such a piece of cake, have you tried to remove the new RAM?. Do things improve?.

Open "System Profiler", are the RAM modules status listed as OK?.
