How does that Macbook's WiFi reception compare to that of the iBook?
Is the Macbook's as good, the same, or better? Ideally, I would love to
see a side-by-side comparison. Any iBook users out there with a Macbook?

I'm not sure about the iBook however I have a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.3Ghz and a 17" PowerBook both shipped with built-in Airport Extreme and I just bought a MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro's wireless picks up much better signal than my G5 or my PowerBook. I have discovered more people in my area have wireless on the MacBook.
A friend of mine has a new Intel Based PC and his wireless pics up the same as my MacBook Pro. It's not just me I have read everywhere that the Intel based Macs have much better wireless reception.

I haven't heard about Intel-based Macs specifically having better reception than PPC Macs, but I have heard that the MacBook has at least as good a reception as the iBook (which was pretty good in and of itself).
