Look, I'm very sorry that little Ali lost his arms, that the library was trashed, and the museum burglarized, but sometimes unfortunate things will happen as 20 MILLION PEOPLE ARE LIBERATED.
20 million people were liberated.

from the article:
When Rumsfeld accused the press of being Henny-Pennys he was taking a pragmatic view of war and its consequences. Others might call it the omelet theory of war: Some eggs get broken -- get over it. Pragmatism looks to the hard details of the matter, not to high-minded abstractions. At its best, it keeps the mind focused on the real and tangible facts of the world. At its worst, it becomes a philosophy scornful of higher ideals, indifferent to problems (like the inevitable pity of war) that seem intractable or insoluble. The worse kind of pragmatism looks (or refuses to look) at a boy with no arms and says, well, this kind of thing happens. Get over it.
Why don't you and Rummy get a room?

Why don't you find out how many Iraqis had limbs and extremities chopped off during the days of Saddam's regime?

Ok. Can we indict members of the US administrations that were complicit in those actions when we get the details?

If you honestly think you can get indictments, go for it.

why don't you stay on topic and answer the charge:

ahh, the unfortuante realities of war .
I knew things like this will happen. But I'm thankful it didn't happen on such a large scale.

I see the article as simply presenting the costs of the war weighed against the achievements of the war. Why does this make you so afraid? Are emotions difficult for you to handle?
