Has anyone else been running fsck a lot on their 17"? I know I have. I seem to get an insane amount of orphaned nodes, among other things. Not quite sure what's happening. I figure it's probably my OS, but just to be sure I thought I'd post. Any ideas out there?

Hmm...you shouldn't have to be running it constantly. It's possible that your hard drive may not be exactly right & sadly may hafta be replaced. If possible, I'd back-up my data & do a completely reformat & reinstall of OS X & see if you still hafta run it a lot. Just back everything up, insert the OS X CD that came w/ your PB, Shut Down, power it up and hold "C", then choose the Reformat & Reinstall option from the Installer. Good luck man

I only had issues w/ this once, and continually running it did no good, so I ended up having to do exactly what I told you & reinstall. After I did that, I've had zero problems.

Yeah, that was what I figured I'd end up doing. Oh well, worth it if it will save my baby. Thanks for the response.

Sure thing, and it is a bummer, but if it solves the issue it'll be well worth it...be sure to post again when it's back up & running and let us know if that solved it. Good luck w/ it!
