A friend borrowed my camera and in trying to erase a single photo accidently wiped the whole card, including a number of shots I hadn't moved over to my computer yet. Anyway or recovering the files, or am I SOL?

Thanks.

There is an OSX program called "Photo Rescue" that is useful for this purpose. It will normally recover photos unless the card had been initialised which to my knowledge digital cameras do not do unless you 'format' the card.
The App lets you see if the photos are still there but if you want to recover them you must pay the fee for the program ....$29
It can be found at

Hope this helps!
