Ok, so I've been getting these cryptic messages in my Apache error_log. They say:

[Mon Sep 29 07:38:17 2003] [error] (54)Connection reset by peer: getsockname

I can't figure out what it is. I've done some Google searches but can't find a definitive answer. Any help is appreciated.

It's probably just that the remote client is closing the connection before your server has completed the data transfer.

You can do a "man getsockname" for more info on this socket call, but it's not particularly relevant unless you wrote the code in question (in this case, you did not).

I'm sorry, I'm not quite getting who you mean by remote client. I'm assuming that by remote client you mean any person who's browsing my site. I have given access rights to my server to a few close buddies, and as I have set up Gallery, the question of Gallery Remote comes into play. Are these applications/operations also possible candidates for the message?

And, something I didn't ask before, is it a possible hack attempt?
