As we know 7B85 10.3 is up on ADC (even standard) and is making into machines (legally) in numbers.... I must be missing something obvious - is the only way to select the default browser is to actually launch Safari and go into Preferences? Similar for Mail?
If so, is this not really fu**ed up?

That's the only way to do it now yes...I don't see much of a problem with it though...

urgh - i *really* think that that should be a system-wide preference. i prefer Safari, but, say, if i chose to delete it and use a competing web browser exclusively i'd have no way of selecting a default browser via GUI unless the new broswer itself had this functionality?
just seems obnoxious and unncessary to me....

I have already complained to Apple on this, and if they don't do something hopefully some third party will bring out something that replaces the old internet pane.
