Can you edit your profile in IChat?

i was wondering if you can do this, i dont see why you couldnt, you can view others profiles. Please let me know. TIA

You mean edit your available/away message? Sure, you just need to use the pull down menu where it says "Available" on your buddy list and choose "Custom..."

I think he means can you change the AOL profile that you have when someone wants to check it... Not your status.

Well, iChat does NOT have profiles; furthermore, you can't read other peoples...so he must be talking about the status I would conclude...

you can read others and NO you cannot edit yours. right click on the sreenname you want to read, go to get info, and its in the show dropdown if you select the username.
i still cant figure out if you boot up aim to change/make your profile, quit, then open ichat... if others (windoze users in particular) can see that. oh well.
but i know that you can look at others' profiles and cannot do anything about your own with ichat.
