We have just installed 10.3 and Adobe CS (standard) onto an iMAC 700Mhz 640MB. When it comes to launching any of the CS apps the icon bounces in the dock for a short while and then stops loading. All other apps on the iMAC work fine.
Any ideas, many thanks, Will D

CS works fine on my 10.3 Mac.
This problem you are describing is an Adobe problem. My uncle had exactly that issue on his Mac with earlier versions of Adobe apps like Photoshop, Illustrator..
A preference thing? Something banal like that.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

Well its not an incompatability per se, we use Adobe CS on a new iMac (17") running 10.3.3 with 512mb ram.
I wouldn't have expected any problem, just some patience.
Fortunately, there are many people on this board, who know tons more than myself.
Do you have a previous version of Photoshop or illustrator installed on the computer? There may be some conflicts (ie files of both versions in same place; which may cause on boot-up of CS, to access a PS7.0 file, instead of a CS file) if, CS and PS7.0 are both installed.
Hope you get it running.

We are to this where would adobe hide preference files in OS 9? This sounds like this could be the issue.

Funnily enough a work colleague has been having the exact same problem today. Bizzarely enough, he solved it by changing his time zone to East Coast America - I don't know if it is necessary to leave it like that (I imagine you can change it back to what you want after the first successful launch).
Other things I've seen recommended were to change the order of the language preference setting (System Preferences>International>Language) to something else (English at the top seems a likely candidate)
