hi all in imac forum. my sister has an old 233 imac and the ethernet was burned up quite a while ago, so we started using a Belkin USB to wifi adapter in OS9 which had awful drivers.(it would lock the thing up at startup 75% of the time) i upgraded it to os x hoping it would have better drivers, and could give better tech support since i was not bothering to keep up to date on an outdated operating system. i installed the os x drivers, and they were even worse! i had to open system preferences every time because it said it was a self assigned IP, when it was set to automatic! i called Belkin, the worst tech support in the world. the first rep FELL ASLEEP when i was restarting. the rest of the reps said "we will call you back in a few days." a month with not one phone call, i called them daily because this was necessary for her computer. does anyone have any suggestions? thanks!
