All of a suddenly I get a lot of messages like this:

WARNING: Deprecated multi-line format used for property "descdetail" at line 55 of "/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/base/anacron-2.3-4.info".

What can I do to "fix" `fink' without having to recompile/install all the apps!?

The problem remains.
When I try to index in finkCommander I get this:

WARNING: Deprecated multi-line format used for property "descport" at line 57 of "/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/base/anacron-2.3-4.info".

Did you try deleting the offending file? A selfupdate should restore anything like that you delete.

I guess I've got the permissions messed up after I did some funky things.
This is what I get now when I try to selfupdate fink:

Failed: Can't move "/sw/fink" out of the way

What's your permissions for the fink folders?!

Actually, I found this the other day:

fink cleanup

It removes all the really freaking old stuff. It's probably too late now, though. You may have to start over. Use apt-get for starters and then let fink compile updates. Don't have it compile stuff if it doesn't have to.
