Funky G is back for more. I don't suppose there's any chance of changing the draft to later in the day when I'm not at work?

If anyone wants to change the date, I don't care. Just suggest it.

I don't know about everyone else, but sometime on the weekend would work better for me.

Each person has a team of NFL players that they get through an initial draft. Each player can only be on one team at a time, but your team will have a mix of players from different NFL teams. Then, each week, you select a group of your players who you want to start that week. You then receive points according to the performance of each of your players in that week's NFL games. For instance, if you decide to start Brett Favre, and he throws for 300 yards and a TD, you get a certain number of points for each yard he threw for (usually 40-50 yards for 1 point) and for the TD he threw (usually 6 points or so). You add up all the points for the players you started, and that's your score for that week. With most leagues, your team goes head to head against another team in the league each week, and whoever gets the most points wins.

We need one more team for an even number to prevent bye weeks.

Just to note, there was some confusion with some people.

THIS IS FREE

I didn't make it a pay league, because I know how cheap some of you bastards are, so if you are holding back because you think it costs money, it doesn't. :-P

Just a reminder that the draft is this Saturday at 4pm EST / 3pm CST for all of those that are in the league.

The draft order will be randomly done by a yahoo computer approx. 30 minutes before draft time.

I'm (obviously) not in your league, but in mine, my first pick and MVP for the first 8 or so weeks was Priest Holmes.

Fortunately, I was able to build up a big enough lead to get into the playoffs, but man, could I use Holmes now.

What ticked me off was the fact that the CHiefs were playing the injury as a 2-4 week thing. No biggie, I thought... I'll have him during crunch time. Nope.

Well, I'm the #1 seed, but what do I get as my reward? An opponent who has a slew of players facing the piss-poor "defenses" of Kansas City and New Orleans, of course!

This is going to be difficult.

The Eagles are trying to wrap-up home-field advantage. He'll play enough.

playoffs are starting, so I figured I would bump this thread and take the opportunity to tell Crazy Micks that he is in for a quick elimination.

Well, the playoffs have begun. Nothing from Crumpler on Saturday but a few points from Delhomme and Bettis.

If McNabb does goes wild, I hope it's all to TO (and I hate myself for rooting for me, but ... )

Doh! I got my two teams mixed up (missed the playoffs in this league, but made it in the other). I have almost the same players on both teams, somehow, so I got mixed up.

Oh well, there's always next season.

I'm down 3.3 points to Funky G's Homies. His players are done, but I still have Fauria and the New England defense. I should be able to pull it out...

Thanks, hopefully Vinateri kicks a few FGs and a few PATs for me. I've never even made the playoffs before in any fantasy league, so I'm fairly pleased.

Yea, normally I would claim an early victory, but I usually get screwed in the first round. We will see, I am going down to the wire in this league and in my other league. so I guess I have a long and loud night ahead of me.

Very close game, Crazy Micks! You definately had one of those 'close but not enough' seasons. I guess I will be seeing Lavar (iTeam) in the finals.

How is it going in Yorktown, btw. I lived in that area for most of my life.

No doubt, I lost two different games by less than 1 point each, and now I lose in the playoffs by 3 points. Weak.

Congrats!

Cool. Yorktown's fine. I was born and raised here, but I just moved back a couple of years ago after being gone a little less than a decade. There's been a lot of building up here and Hampton Roads in general. Did you go to high school here? I went to York.

It'll be a good battle for the championship.

That has to be the closest final ever! Unless Yahoo made a mistake, I lost by 0.08 points. Eight one hundredths of a point! Good game, dcolton. I guess it's my fault for starting Volek. Way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

After my abysmal start, fifth place ain't too bad I suppose. I obviously needed better running backs. Corey Dillon was iffy week by week, and sometimes Steven Jackson didnt even play (although he saved my ass this week).

See you guys next year!

Gad to bump this because Ihave been away for a while. Pheew! Close one! I was sure I lost, but decided to check today. Couldn
't find the final score, but wow. As for Volek, I lost in my other league because I statred him. What a shame.

Good game!

BTW...Went to Menchville and Pheobus.
