When is the release date for tiger?

By buddy called and he is planning on upgrading the server at his church. He was wondering when Tiger is going to be released. I searched, but only found things dating back to WWCD. I looked around and found no true answer.

Well, according to Amazon.com when they first listed Tiger for pre-order the release date was -I believe- March 19th, 2005.
But all Apple has said is 1st half 2005.

Amazon is at the mercy of fantasy release dates provided by the publisher.
...not that Apple has ever postponed a release

The date that they provided was exactly midway through 1H2005, IIRC.

I severely doubt that Apple gave Amazon any release date more concrete than 1H2005.
