My sister recently bought The Sims 2 for her 1.8GHz iMac. For the first few days, it worked fine. Then, a few days ago, it started crashing whenever she loads a house. I tried deleting the Sims 2 userdata folder, which was recreated fresh when the game started, but now it crashes about 50% of the time when loading a house. The other 50% of the time, it just stays on the loading screen forever. Has anyone experienced this?

I just got the Sims 2 in the mail this weekend and am completely unable to run it on my Dual 2.0 Ghz G5 Powermac.

Specs:
2 x 2.0 Ghz G5
1.5 Gig RAM
GeForce FX5200 - 64MB VRAM

The splash movie plays fine and then the Sims just crashes due to a kernel exception.
I was trying to run it under Tiger (10.4.2) and thought it might not like that, so I created a Panther install and patched it to 10.3.9. Still the same error. Any ideas?

On the one hand, glad to see I'm not the only one. It ran fine for me for a couple of days then the same problem with crashing . Was hoping someone had some answers.
