From what I have read, the x600 is just a Radeon 9600 with a PCIe upgrade. A fact which was pleasing to me because a bit jealous until I found that out.

For the PC versions of the old card (9600) and new card (X600) they are pretty much the same speed... X600 may be 10% faster for some things, but no dramatic changes.

Never knew that. I thought it was a big improvement because it had a fancy name.

In 1600x1200 3D test it's 6 times slower than X800. Yeah, I guess it's the power of Steve,
everybody thought that was an improvement... (10x slower than GeForce 6800 BTW...)
Still iMac is better than anything Apple has right now, including their "pro" machines

Don't forget - it's X600 Pro and XT. The old ones were the regular 9600, so it's a boost of some 25% at least over the Rev B.
