I own a 1 ghz emac with a ati 7500 gpu. The case is totaled though and the metal shield that sits under the logic board is missing and the powerbutton has been replaced with a radioshack hack job. I just bought a emac 700 the unit works and is being shipped to me. Can I replace the logicboard in the 700 mhz system with the one from the 1ghz unit?

Gotta be worth a try. Best thing is to open them both up and compare.
Having said that, they do look different in the service manuals.

If Apple didn't change the ports or mounting points in the enclosure, couldn't you just move the whole shebang over?
