Don't know if this is an issue with anyone else but, but I one of the latest OS X updates made the eject button on my keyboard stop working. I have to go into iTunes and press that eject button in order for my drives to open. Anyone else experienced this?

10.4.9 Adds an 'Eject Delay,' that is, you have to push the eject button for half a second or so until the drive will eject.

Is this what you're talking about?

Yeah, I too thought my eject button stopped working after the last update, it wasn't until I found out that apple added that delay. $%&@$# Apple. I have to say this is poor "upgrade", it messes me up and I've never accidently hit the button which is why apple added it.

Ahhh, that delay was the problem. I'm used to just tapping it. I could have sworn I saw a post somewhere mentioning something about the eject function changing but I couldn't find it in a search.

Thanks.

DAMN and I thought my "Classic" Pro white keyboard was going (it sure looks gray) I had popped the cap and it still was not working. on my MDD G4 and now my Mac Pro. I prefer the "Classic Pro" since it has the function keys spaced apart.

I'm hoping someone will find a control to turn off that delay. Some plist somewhere that can be edited.

Yeah, weird there's no option for specifying the delay in seconds (or minutes)

Okay, that explains why I keep having to hit the button twice. The second time I usually hold it till I see the icon on the screen, the first time I gues I just tap it.

I just remember that there's also an eject delay in Panther. No one complained about it back then, IIRC.
