I am a pretty new Mac user. I have a iMac 500mhz/128mb ram, os 9.1. I have been a Visual Basic programmer for around two years. Is there a good Macintosh BASIC environment? What would you recommend. Are there any tools for converting VB code and/or forms if I want to port my VB apps to the Mac? Preferably one with easy access to TCP/IP sockets and ODBC data sources ... heh

All help would be appreciated, and no I don't have time to teach myself C/C++

Thanks!

You'd probably have better luck finding an answer in the 'developer' forum, but one product you can check is realbasic (realbasic.com)

Yup, RealBasic is the way to go. I too learned VB first and find that RB is not only similar but easier to use.

I'd say RB is the best choice for you too - it's really similar, and can import VB projects (with some limitations), and is cross-platform to boot: win-mac(classic/carbon)
