Developer CD Highlights

August Dev CD Content
The August Developer CD content includes the Tool Chest Edition: Apple Class Suites Release VX, a library of lightweight C++ classes for the Macintosh APIs and MacApp Release XV, which supports building applications for Mac OS X and Mac OS 8/9 and includes projects for building Mach-O and CFM applications using Project
Builder and CodeWarrior. On the Tool Chest Edition you'll also find the latest version of MPW, QuickTime Java 5.0.1 SDKs for both Macintosh and Windows, and a complete hierarchy of developer Sample Code. This month's mailing also features a bootable System Software disc containing Mac OS 9.2.

That just shows how consumer-oriented this release. I don't really think any normal person NEEDS 9.2. Obviously developers will want to make sure their apps are compatible with it, but I don't understand why people are actively seeking it out. It isn't meant to be a release with features people want. It only deletes bugs which people know they don't want but usually don't encounter.
