I just noticed that arrow-key driven cursor movements are much faster when View->full screen is selected in Excel X. The cursor zips along and you can use arrow keys to scroll and not cringe at the slow speed.

Having toolbars visible REALLY slows the cursor down. The cursor gasps and wheezes and arrow-key scrolling is slower.

The Formula bar seems to be the worst culprit of all. Killing this increases performance.

Anyone else notice this? I know that moving the cursor causes things to update on the toolbars (and formula bar in particular), but the speed drop seems way out of proportion to the extra work the machine is doing.....
