About one time in 5 or 10 my mouse is almost unusable on startup--slow, jerky. Restart always solves the problem, but that's a pain. Info: Apple BT MightyMouse, Core2Duo 17" iMac, 1gb. Anyone else have this happen with this regularity? Any thoughts on why or a solution?

kick52--I suppose it could be batteries but the mouse is only about 3 weeks old and the store had just gotten them from Apple the day I bought it.

They eat batteries. I had to buy rechargables because I got sick and tired of replacing batteries. It annoying to constantly swap them, but at least I'm not buying them and throwing them out...

Thats not true. I've been using mine for over a month now and they're still showing FULL capacity. The mighty mouse has amazing power management.

My meter shows that the batteries are still super strong. So that's not it. I was wondering if anyone else with a new Core2Duo iMac has had this problem?

How do I find the meter to show my battery strength?
